The basic timing of the MSD Pulse is an enhanced version of the standard Harley-Davidson® curve. If the VOES feature is not active, this curve is always supplied. But with VOES equipped motors, you can select from 8 different VOES slopes.
Adjustable Rev-Limiter
The on-board rev-limiter is adjustable between 6250 and 8000 rpm (in 250-rpm steps).
Adjustable Retard
A switch-selectable high-rpm retard is provided to work with different fuel or for special performance needs at high engine speeds.
Easy Setup
A built-in LED allows easy and accurate alignment of the trigger sensor plate to find top-dead-center during intial timing setup.
Tach Output Terminal
A built-in terminal provides a standard tach signal that eliminates the need for tach adapters. The signal also works with most shift indicators.
Two Step Rev Limit
Selectors S3-S5 of Switch 2 control the Two Step rev limit (or staging rpm). There are eight selectable staging rev limit rpm values from 3,000 to 4,750 rpm. The default is 3,500 rpm. The Two Step rev limit overrides the Max Rev limit when its Light Blue control wire is grounded.
