Timing Light (PN 8990)
The MSD Timing Light is built using solid state circuitry and uses a SCR (Silicon Controlled Rectifier) that provides accurate and stable timing signals from 0 to 8000 rpm. It uses a high output Linear Xenon strobe and a focused fresnel lens that produces a light that's bright enough to use outdoors. The MSD Timing Light is built to last even in harsh environments. A 6-foot lead with a heavy duty inductive pickup makes it easy to hook up to any engine.
Self-Powered Timing Light (PN 8991)
The self-powered model is handy in applications where the battery is hard to get to. It uses six AAA batteries and produces an extremely bright strobe with great accuracy. The assembly is housed in a lightweight injection molded housing and features a removable inductive lead.
