Each flywheel is CNC machined from 7075-T6 aluminum for absolute accuracy and great strength. Most of these flywheels are half the weight of the stock units! This light weight assembly produces quick throttle response with less stress on other mechanical engine components. The starter gear that is supplied features a hardened ring with chamfered teeth for smooth starter engagement.

Flywheel Magnets
Certain ignition system installations need a custom built flywheel, magnet mounting ring or magnet mounting plate to fit special applications. These are the same magnets used in the MSD Total Loss Flywheels. They're made from samarium cobalt rare earth material and should be epoxied to the flywheel.
