Supplied with the MC-4 Digital Ignition will be the Pro-Data Plus Software. Once you've installed the software on your computer you'll be able to program the MC-4. The software allows you to map all the ignition's features like you've never been able to do before! Some of the features you'll have control over include: the timing curve, start retard, launch ramp delay, step retard off delay for nitrous applications, gear retard, shift kill delay, boost retard curve and RPM activated window switch. As improvements and new features are made to the MC-4, you'll be able to download the software from MSD Powersports over the internet. Below is the screen showing the adjustability of the Pro-Data Plus Software. Click on them to make them bigger.

Timing Controls - The MC-4 gives you the ability to program a variety of timing functions exclusively for your application. Being able to set an ignition curve for the holeshot and the timing of each cylinder will help get every bit of performance and power out of your bike!
Individual Cylinder Timing - The Spark to each cylinder can be adjusted up to 5° in 0.1° increments which will eliminate any compromises in timing. A Cam Sync Sensor must be used to take advantage of this feature.
Run Timing Curve - Plot a timing curve throughout the entire range of your engine by 0.1° per 100 rpm.
Launch Timing Curve - Program a separate timing curve exclusively for the launch! Compensate for varying track conditions. Programmable in 0.1° increments for every 100 rpm.
Timed Launch Retard - Program a timing curve to use during the holeshot, which can remain active for up to 2.5 seconds.
Boost Timing Curve - Control the ignition timing in relation to boost pressure. Timing can be programmed from 0°-25° in conjunction to boost pressure ranging from 0-45 psi in 0.50 psi increments.
Multi-Step Retard - Three separate stages of retard can be activated by either rpm or a separate activation wire. This is perfect for all nitrous applications. Programmable from 0°-15° in 0.1 degree increments within 800-15,000 rpm in 100 rpm steps.
Start Retard - Ease engine cranking during startup by retarding your timing from 0°-25° when the engine is under 800 rpm.
Gear Selectable Retard - Program a timing retard step of up to 15° for every gear change.
Shift Features
RPM Features
Shift Kill
The Shift Kill circuit is activated through an air shifter activation button, the output of the ignition is momentarily killed resulting in quick and complete shifts.
Shift Kill Delay
This setting lets you select the amount of time that the ignition is killed during a shift. It is adjustable from 20-99 milliseconds in 1 millisecond intervals.
Auto Shift
The MC-4 also has three Auto-Shift options to give you even more adjustments to set for your application. The first method disables the kill feature for the first shift only. The second method disables the kill for the first two shifts while the third setting kills the ignition in every gear.
RPM Controlled Features
The MC-4 has several rpm programs. Each of these settings are extremely accurate and result in a smooth rev limiting action.
Three Step Rev Limiter
Set three different rev limits burnout, launch and overrev limit protection.
Shift Light/Air Shifter
Sequential Gear/RPM output can be programmed to turn on a light or solenoid for each gear change.
RPM Activated Window Switch
Activate and then deactivate a 12 volt device, such as a nitrous solenoid, at a programmed rpm ranging from 2,000 rpm to 15,000 rpm.
